Media Ministries: Faith Plus Creativity

Be part of the generation connecting a technology-based culture to the gospel message. Skills like brand development, audio production, camera operation, and web design are all in demand as churches and Christian ministries embrace the power and reach of design, media, and communication.

Increase your church’s reach and fulfill the Great Commission with the media ministries concentration from Pensacola Christian College. See how you can create exceptional work based in biblical principles and with a specific goal: encouraging people in their walk with the Lord by communicating the gospel message clearly and excellently.

You can look forward to hands-on coursework from a solid biblical perspective, including instruction in the development and implementation of both internal and external communication campaigns. The combination of biblical content classes, practical instruction, and real-world experience will allow you to enter a role in a church or other Christian ministry upon graduation. You’ll be ready to serve wherever the Lord calls you.

“Media ministries is a Bible degree designed to prepare students for the ministry. As such, it features many of the Bible classes found in the other Bible degrees. Since its purpose is to prepare students with the skills necessary to support the media needs of ministries, it also features visual arts courses that train students in the skills, software, and equipment used in the design and production of media. Students develop their portfolios and gain practical experience as they create projects in layout and design, produce video and audio programs, design web interfaces and media plans, run camera during chapel services, and complete an internship with a ministry.

Since PCC’s heartbeat is to produce graduates who will influence their world for Christ, teaching media at PCC allows me to expand my influence as I train students to be ambassadors for Christ through the power of the media.”

“This program provides a biblical framework and practical, hands-on instruction so that the student can develop an effective digital strategy that fits any ministry context. The practical, hands-on instruction and demos of ministry-related apps and digital services give the students working knowledge and prepare them for real-life implementation.

With a concentration in media ministries, students will be equipped to coordinate the media ministry of churches, schools, youth camps, mission agencies, and other faith-based organizations. Additionally, they will have the knowledge to develop meaningful print and digital (e.g., podcasts, social media, videos, etc.) content to advance the gospel effectively in an ever-increasing digital world. Through visual arts, Christians can communicate biblical truth creatively that transcends boundaries and reflects the beauty and glory of God.”
